Privacy Policy

This policy covers four Android apps — Offline AI,Offline Notebook, Hearth, andOffline Translator (the "Apps") — published byOffAI Labs. Each App runs AI models directly on your phone. This policy is short because the Apps do very little with your information.
The short version
We do not collect, receive or store any of your personal information.There is no account, no server of ours, no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising. Your conversations, documents and other content never reach us, because there is nowhere for them to go.
The Apps send data off your device in only two cases, both to third parties and never to us: downloading a model you choose, and — in Offline Notebook only — fetching a web page whose address you type in yourself. Both are described below.
What stays on your device
Everything you create or use stays in the App's private storage on your phone:
- your conversations and messages
- documents (PDFs) and web pages you add as sources (Offline Notebook)
- memories the assistant saves
- prompts you write or edit
- images you generate and portraits rendered on-device (Offline AI, Hearth)
- your settings, including which model you selected
Chat responses, translations and image generation are computed on your phone's own processor and neural accelerator. No text you type is sent anywhere for processing.
Speech-to-text (Offline AI, Offline Translator) uses Android'son-device recogniser only; if no offline recogniser is available, the feature refuses to run rather than falling back to a network one. Text-to-speech uses offline voices on the same rule.
Your conversations, documents, memories, prompts, settings and generated images areexcluded from Android cloud backup, so they are not uploaded to Google's servers.
When the Apps use the network
Model downloads. An App downloads AI model files fromhuggingface.co, and only when you ask it to. That request carries what any file download carries: the address of the model file and your device's IP address, which Hugging Face receives as the host serving the file. Nothing about you, your prompts or your content is included, because none of it is part of the request. Hugging Face's handling of that request is governed by their own privacy policy athuggingface.co/privacy.
Adding a web page as a source (Offline Notebook only). When you add a source by URL, the App fetches that page, from the address you typed, over HTTPS. The page is then stored and processed on your device. Only the page request and your device's IP are sent; none of your other content is.
Apart from these, the Apps make no network connections. They send no conversations, documents, notebook contents, images, memories, voice or usage data anywhere. The store versions of the Apps do not perform web searches or any other online lookup.
When you choose to share
If you export or share a conversation or an image, it goes to the app you pick from the Android share sheet, and only at that moment. Once content leaves an App this way, it is handled by whichever app or service you sent it to, under their terms.

The store versions do not request location, contacts or calendar permissions.
Children
The Apps are not directed at children and collect no information from anyone, including children. On-device models can generate arbitrary text; adult supervision is advised for younger users.
AI-generated content
Responses, translations and images are produced by machine-learning models running on your device. They can be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate. Downloaded models are provided by their publishers under their own licences, reproduced in full inside each App under About → Open source licences.
This website
offai.app follows the same rule as the Apps: it sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from third parties — every page is static files served from this domain. The web host that serves those files keeps its own standard server logs (requests and IP addresses) as any host does; that hosting is the only processing involved, and we add nothing to it.
That includes the privacy-friendly kind. Our host offers a cookieless analytics product that would count visitors from this page, and we have turned it down: whatever we can learn from the host’s own request logs is enough, and it costs you nothing extra. If that ever changes, this page will say so before it happens.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address and the "last updated" date above will change.
